Lord Ganesh in Astrology

Lord Ganesh sits in the Mooladhara chakra. The elephant with seven trunks is the symbol of Mooladhara chakra. Seven trunks i.e. the number 7 denotes Ketu in numerology.  The word “Mooladhara” has two words i.e. ‘Moola’ and ‘Adhara’. Moola is known as base/root and Adhara is known as support/foundation.  The Star ‘Moola’ is Ketu’s nakshatra. It is located in Dhanus rasi i.e. 9th house from Kaalapurusha rasi. Ninth house denotes the foundation and base of the person i.e. Father.  Hence, praying to Ganesha pacifies the planet Ketu.

Persons having bad placement of Ketu or running with Ketu dasa/bukti can pray to Lord Ganesh for removing the negative effects, obstacles and to get success in life.
