Exaltation (Uchcha) and Debilitation (Neecha) of Planets

Planets have their own houses, moolatrikona houses, Exaltation and Debilitation houses. Though we have already discussed about own houses, let’s revisit it once again and move to exaltation and debilitation.
1. Sun and Moon own one house
2. All other planets own two houses each
3. Rahu and ketu do not own any house

    1. Rahu & Ketu do not own any house (Rasi). In my experience, i felt that, Rahu is powerful in Rishaba and Ketu in Vrischika. Its my personal opinion.

    1. I am not giving predictions in this blog. you can contact me at my Chennai Office for Horoscope Consultations. Please check my Consultation page and take Consultation Appointment. Regards

  1. Venus and jupiter are considered enemies. If any one in enenies house is considered powerless. But, then how come Venus has a Jupiter sign Pisces as its exaltation sign? Is then, Jupiter position in Venus sign a good one?

    1. I agree that, Venus and Jupiter are considered enemies. But, it is not necessary to become powerless in enemy house. Because, Venus gets exalted in Revati (ruled by Mercury) Nakshatra in Pisces.
Jupiter posited in Venus sign i.e. Taurus and Libra is good, if it occupies friendly nakshatra.

  2. during my birth are at different positions but as i gorw they have moved places. how do i know where and at what positions they occupy now as this makes a lot of differences in my current life -i think that way. help me here please.

    1. Natal Chart/Janam Kundli/Rasi Chart shows the Planets posited at Birth time. The transit chart/Gochara shows the present planetary positions. If you superimpose the present planetary chart on Janam kundli, then you can find out the differences.

    1. The Nakshatras of Sun, Moon, Mars & Jupiter are friendly as these planets are friendly planets. Likewise, Mercury, Venus and Saturn are friendly planets. Since Rahu Ketu is not friendly to any of these planets, their nakshatras are neutral.

Sir I have rahu in mithuna lagna is their any problem.

    1. Mere placement of any planet do not create problem. You should study the permutations & combinations of other planets in relation to your Rahu.

    1. Maraka planet always gives maraka (bad) results. If it is in own house, it is strong in giving maraka results.
